Same problem here. I can't get it to work on Parallels Desktop either. Only way is boot camp windows for me Hope they get something developed, even though everything seems to be at a standstill. Anyone got any ideas? Normally I used Kaid Commander, which provides a nice GUI for starting the kai engine and launching Amaryllis.
The GUI doesn't work for me now. So I just downloaded the latest kaid engine application from the XLink site. Once it is downloaded, install it.
Then open it. You can open Terminal which is in /Applications/Utilities and execute the command ps -ef grep kai That will verify that the engine is running. Then, download Amaryllis from or if you have Kaid Commander, right-click and choose Show Package Contents. Press command(the apple key)+f for Find and search for Amaryllis.

The problem may not come from your Leopard Did you try both Kai versions(7,3 and 7,4)? I guess you downloaded the latest one which is 7,4. Download the 7,3 version (Mac OSX 10.x Kaid) and give it a try. Download the 7,3 version (Mac OSX 10.x Kaid) and give it a try. Yeah, Kai tells me through Terminal that I'm not root. My friend has been struggling with this. ValkyrieWing managed to install the 7,4 Kai's version. The problem he had was due to the servers, not to the set up.

I don't use Amaryllis anymore. With the latest 7.4 beta I just launch Kaid and once I login my default browser opens and requires me to login. Then I just navigate to the game I want to play on my system. I can get it to work (as described in your link) but it is still impossible to play with more than one other person in MH1 or 2 and any game that swaps SSIDs before entering gameplay (different SSID for the in game lobby, different SSID when the game is in play). In regards to the SSID issue - this means about 90% of the ad hoc PSP games out there WILL NOT WORK on Kai for Mac. There is no way to roll to the new SSID when it changes. The frustration is that I don't know if these issues are simply limitations of the airport card or network functionality in OSX or if Kai just isn't far enough along for the operating system.sigh.
We may never know. At this point, if you have a Mac with OSX 10.5.x and you want to play online, just buy a copy of XP, Boot Camp it and go get a wifi max. I might have to do some port forwarding. With the new kaiengine beta (7.4.1, I can connect fine when airport is on, but when I connect with an ethernet cable and use airport to connect to the psp, then turn on kaiengine, my computer freezes and I get a message that I have to restart my computer. You'll have to use the newest version of Kai.
The airport method will only work if you have a Power PC Mac. If you have an Intel Mac, you must use my guide.

That guide would help, but I don't have all the materials there and I have a 1.07 GHz PowerPC G4, so I figure that I could see how well I could do with the AirPort method. Unfortunately, the newest beta freezes up on me when I have my ethernet connected, but I thought I heard somewhere that you need 10.5.x for that whereas I have 10.4.11, so I might try installing an earlier version of Kai. Installing previous versions of Kai will not work.
They'll either prompt you to update to 7.4.18, or will not function at all. The airport method is very unreliable. Try purchasing a planex adapter, it's inexpensive, fast, and stable. The adapter in my guide, the GW-USMini2N, does not have XLink-compatible drivers for Tiger. However, the other models (also posted in my guide), work for both Tiger and Leopard. Save yourself the headache by purchasing one of those. If you insist on using the airport method, try starting the kaiengine first before you turn on airport.

I think I found the problem with the freezing, though. When I connect through Airport, Xlink connects fine. Then, if I turn off Airport and use the ethernet cable, the internet will still work, but Xlink stops working. The network says its reachable, and it says it detects my psp but I can't play mhf2. When I go to the arena I can't see anyone. Under wireless SSID it doesn't say anything, I'm thinking that this is the problem?

Works regular game like medal of honor. But i dont know how to connect to xlink kai sever or it. When i run xlink it comes up and i can view the games and rooms with ppl in it but i dont know how to connect with to play with ppl on psp.
