Total price for the build was $200, paid $60 for the Optiplex from my university's surplus warehouse, $40 for the SSD and $35 for the graphics card. Then also $20 for a wireless card and $25 for a magic keyboard and another $10 for a Bluetooth adapter to finish it off! Not a bad build for the price! Originally had it running Sierra, ran like a dream and everything worked. Decided to upgrade to High Sierra on a whim and the process couldn't be easier! Just dropped apfs.efi into my EFI partitions and let the updater do its work and before I knew it I was done!

This particular machine can also be expanded up to 16GB of RAM and a 1050 Ti without getting a new power supply. Not sure that I'd want to go much higher due to the age of the CPU, but this machine already outperforms my 2011 iMac that packs similar specs and fetches a far higher price!
